Several publication search engines, research management systems, and programming libraries for bibliometric analyses already exist. However, on the one hand many of the technologies, such as powerful community detection algorithms, natural language processing, or bibliometric programming frameworks, require extensive expertise and experience in their use. On the other hand, many integrated commercial systems offer only very limited visual display capabilities, support only a few advanced bibliometric analyses, and their licensing costs are often beyond the financial capabilities of students, PhD students, research institutions, and small enterprises.

AMBALYTICS aims to develop an integrated, affordable, web-based platform that will provide simple, straightforward, accessible methods to find relevant scientific publications, analyze research fields, create engaging, interactive visualizations and customizable reports in order to simplify, support and accelerate the workflow of knowledge workers dealing with scientific publications.
